UPSA Global Alumni Association awards scholarships to four bright students

  • Date May 9, 2022

The UPSA Global Alumni Association through the Kwame Danger Excellence award has offered full-tuition scholarships to some four brilliant students of the University.

The four beneficiaries are Richard Amoah (a second-year BSc Accounting student), Gabriel Tsehehia Lawer (second-year Bachelor of Business Administration), Ruby Ampofo (level 100 BSc Actuarial Science) and Mary Ayariga (first-year Diploma in Public Relations Management).

The scholarships cover tuition for the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year and are subject to renewal every year as the students progress with good academic performance.

Speaking at a brief ceremony to outdoor the awardees, the President of the UPSA Global Alumni Association, Mr. Francis Dadzie, charged the students to not relent on their studies but rather take advantage of the opportunity offered them to gain the best out of their education.

He called for the support of members of the association and the general public to contribute towards the association in order to raise more scholarship opportunities for promising but indigent students.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Association and Kwame Danger Excellence for the scholarship. They promised to make the best out of the opportunity given them.

The Kwame Danger Excellence Awards is a scholarship scheme provided by Mr. Daniel Kwame Bediako, an alumnus of UPSA. The scholarship scheme seeks to offer bright young minds from the UPSA the opportunity to complete their education while developing the talent of students through mentorship and scholarships.
